It is an approximately 12 hour’s journey from Johannesburg to Ghanzi Botswana where you’ll spend a night in Ghanzi at our travel partner hotel! We’ll stop for some lunch (on your own account) on route and enjoy the incredible scenery as we travel from South Africa into Botswana to Swakopmund. Key highlights to look out for is a stop in Southern Botswana where you have lunch in the capital city of Gaborone.

ITINERARY
DAY ONE BOTSWANA

It is an approximately 12 hour’s journey from Johannesburg to Ghanzi Botswana where you’ll spend a night in Ghanzi at our travel partner hotel! We’ll stop for some lunch (on your own account) on route and enjoy the incredible scenery as we travel from South Africa into Botswana to Swakopmund. Key highlights to look out for is a stop in Southern Botswana where you have lunch in the capital city of Gaborone.

It is an approximately 10 hour’s journey from Ghanzi to Swakopmund which is Namibia’s premier coastal holiday destination and a must visit for all tourists. It is sandwiched between the cold Atlantic Ocean and the hot Namib Desert. We further explore Windhoek the capital city of Namibia and is situated 1680 meters above sea level. This is the melting pot of cultures where all ethnic groups can be found. The architecture of buildings is a mix of German colonial and Morden day design.

DAY TWO SWAKOPMUND

• 07:00 – 09:00 AM Breakfast time at hotel.
• 09:30-10:00 AM Depart from Ghanzi Tautona lodge to Swakopmund Namibia. This is an estimated 10 Hours’ drive.
• Mamuno Botswana / Buitepos Border post Namibia.
• Witvlei Service Station Town. (15 m)
• Windhoek Town. (30 m)

DAY THREE CAMEL RIDING / SWAKOPMUD MUSEUEM & CITY TOUR

• 8:00 – 10:00 AM Breakfast is served.
• 10:10 AM Depart hotel to experience a truly unique view of the Swakopmund Desert. Climb aboard a Camel and immerse yourself in a nomadic desert experience. See various displays at the Swakopmund Museum which is the largest museum in Namibia. Enroute to the hotel includes, guests park takes in a city tour viewing colonial landmarks like the Lighthouse and the mole Wall.

• Rest of afternoon is free time and visit to the Atlantic Ocean.

8:00 – 10:00 PM Dinner at own account.

DAY FOUR QUAD BIKE & MARINE AQUARIUM

• 8:00 – 10:00 AM Breakfast is served.
• 10:10 AM Today we leave the hotel and head towards day 2 of the Desert Explorers to experience the sheer thrill of riding a Quad Bike through Namibia’s boundless expanse of shifting sand dunes.
• Quad Biking.

In the afternoon we visit will the National Marine Aquarium where you see wonders of marine life.

• National Marine Aquarium.
• Dolphin Cruise. (Optional Extra Cost)

Rest of the afternoon is free time to visit the Atlantic Ocean.

8:00 – 10:00 PM Dinner at own account.

DAY FIVE SWAKOPMUND – BOTSWANA

•  8:00 – 10:00 AM Breakfast is served.
• 10:30 AM Guest should load luggage back on Lux Bus as we depart from Swakopmund back to Ghanzi Botswana and overnight at Tautona lodge. This is an estimate 10 Hours’ drive.

8:00 – 10:00 PM Dinner at own account.

DAY SIX BOTSWANA – JHB

• 8:00 – 10:00 AM Breakfast is served.
• 10:30 AM Guest should load luggage back on Lux Bus as we depart back from Ghanzi to Johannesburg South Africa. This is an estimate 12 Hours’ drive.
